Emily and Missy these are for you--and anyone else who still cares at this point ;)
The countertops (and everything else for that matter) are still super dusty, so don't judge fully yet. And because I'm a genius I forgot to take any pictures from the outside. I will later today or tomorrow when there is paint on the siding.
We still need shower doors, mirrors, door knobs, appliances (except the fridge) some running water in the kitchen and paint on the cement board to get an occupancy permit tomorrow. Plus we need one more coat of finish on the floor on Thursday so we can move in on Friday. I hope it's possible!

House, house, house
Building a house seems to me a lot like giving birth. You want the final product really, really badly. There are mounds of preparations that must be accomplished and as the end draws near, you would do ANYTHING just to have it over. Including surviving the last three weeks of decisions and quick trips over just to check on this or that small detail. I feel like a 39-week expectant mother-except for I don't have to run to the bathroom quite as often, and we already know our baby is going to be a few weeks late. It's looking awesome and we are, so far, very pleased with how it's gone. There have been some bumps in the road, but everything is really coming together now and we are excited!
A BIG, HUGE thank you to the Sims and my Dad who have volunteered their labor along the way. We hereby grant you first rights to the pool and guest quarters whenever you need them! The last two photos are of my dad enjoying his new iPhone, which isn't technically about the house, but is entertaining none the less!

Spring break parts 2 & 3
Part 2:
We spent a day in Logan to end our spring break and the kids got to visit the Goates and have a sleepover with Noah and Eli. They loved it!
Part 3:
Since our spring break is different from the rest of the state we got to see the Sims and the Goates again during their spring break. Tons of fun! I even survived pulling the trailer back from Zion National Park by myself. Phew!

Spring break!
We headed out for spring break this week and aside from being back North in the land of the trees and allergy attacks, we are having a great time!

House and Randomness
So building a house is like having a part time job. It is currently consuming any "spare" time I thought I had.
Which is why we have nothing much else to blog about. Here is some randomness from the last little while...

Heat Wave!
Our great friends, the Sims came to visit over the three-day weekend, and thankfully we were having some what of a heat wave! We had so much fun enjoying good weather, food, conversation and company. The kids were SO GLAD to see their friends again. We had so much fun I hardly took any pictures. Oh well!
