And So It Begins Again...

Today was opening day of Fall Soccer! We are easing into it with just 3 games. Next week is 4... and I'll be gone. Yikes! The camera only lasted through R's game, but she was OH SO CUTE in her new Lady Bulldogs uniform. She had such a blast playing on her new team, all guilt of ripping her away from E's team is gone. Haha. R played first, then E, then B. It was a pretty rough day. Everyone lost... badly. BUT E's team is playing up a division this year against girls that are a grade older and have played on big fields for a whole year already. This is her first year on big fields and with only one break at halftime. AND they have 2 new girls who haven't played before so there is going to be an adjustment period. I think they will really grow a lot though, more than they would have staying at the lower division beating everyone by 15 points. B's team lost a lot of people and gained some, so we just have to get used to a new team basically. R is on a team that we have no idea what their level was last year, so we will just be happy as long as she is having fun. K's game next week should be a hoot, I'm heartbroken I'm going to miss it. Now it's time to crash after 7 hours in the sun at the fields. I can't believe we are going to add another game onto our Saturdays!

Ty is happy he gets to be a spectator at a game for once now that he isn't coaching R anymore. It was nice!

BLERG (and all other Liz Lemon euphemisms for frustration)!!

Do you know what
the (insert explitive of choice) this is?

Image
If you do, then you know I'm in panic mode. You've been there.
I'm scrambling to learn what this, and many others like it, represent. Yes, I am in the midst of a science class.
And not even a full blown science class... a nutrition class!
I told my sister today I am fairly positive that the same brain that processes the # of laundry loads per week and how to properly arrange a grocery list, IS NOT hardwired to simultaneously process the molecular structure of ANYTHING!
Sheesh, what have I gotten myself into.

Sometimes I Wish

Today I am really missing my mommy and my daddy.
Do you ever wish you could just be a kid again? I know I would
appreciate it a lot more this time around. My parents are amazing and
always there when I need them, I just wish I had realized that when I was younger.
Kind of a cliché, I know. But being a grown up is SO HARD and I couldn't
survive without their support.
Living so far aways is really really really really hard, sad, difficult, frustrating... you get it.
Thank goodness for technology to keep us close or I'd go crazy. Like, clinically crazy.
Thank you mom and dad for being so great. I'm having an especially hard homesick kind of day
so I'm thinkin' about ya!

(On of the BEST memories of my life. My mom was coming to visit and surprised me with my dad! I cried like a baby I was so happy.)

Rock it baby!

This is my sister.
She is my best friend.
She is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G in every way.
Tomorrow she will run a half marathon.
That is pretty beastly.
For real.
Image
She is going to do awesome.
I wish I could be there with her.
It is a life changing feeling to cross that finish line.
I'm wishing her luck from afar.
She's going to rock it.
Believe it.

The Anti-Blogger

I have become an anti-blogger kinda gal, so if you REALLY want to know what's up check my Facebook. I update it daily, so much easier. But for those who refuse, here is a snippet of our summer.

Sunny California and Other Random Adventures

Here is a picture of the happy couple. We had so much fun at the wedding and meeting Diane and her family. She is a perfect fit and she makes Robby-B happy, so that makes us happy! Love you two.

Image
Look at these adorable children! All dolled up and ready for a party. K and R were in heaven with their frilly dresses... B and E couldn't wait to get jeans and a t-shirt back on. They sure looked dashing though.

Waiting for our airplane. The trip there and back was... memorable. I flew by myself with all four kids and for the most part it went well. We flew from Dallas to San Antonio. San Antonio to San Diego. San Diego to our final Destination, Sacramento. It was a LONG day! The trip home went Sacramento to Phoenix. Phoenix to Austin. Austin to Dallas. K peed everywhere on one leg of the trip and puked everywhere on another leg of the trip. I was ill prepared and a wreck by the time we got home, but it was well worth it to be there for Berto.

B and his BYU car won 3rd place at the pinewood derby!
He was so happy to get a medal.

Image
E wanted a big girl haircut for her birthday, so I took her to get bangs. She loves them and looks so grown up. One more step toward teenage-hood.

Grandma helped us finish our Christmas puzzle. It was a tough one!

Image
T got to fly to Chicago to visit his brother and family and go to the Seahawks game. He had a blast... even though the Hawks lost.

A Small Sample of Our Ice/Snow Storm

Would you believe this ice, almost thick as a brick, was coating every surface of our city... IN TEXAS?!?! If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't! But alas, it happened to us here in Big Tex and the result was severe cabin fever and SIX days of missed school.

Family Pictures 2011

Grandma and Grandpa Perry and Nettie-Poo came to visit after Christmas and while they were here Grandpa was nice enough to take some family pictures for us. It was freezing cold but the Bishop let us come on their beautiful property and get a few good shots in. I'm glad to have new pics to replace all the photos in our frames from when I was pregnant with Kate! Thanks Daddy.

Slowly But Surely

I'm not even going to attempt to catch up on my blog in one post or even one day. BUT I have had a few requests from family to start my blog going again, so here is just a little taste of what we did this last month. We went to California for my brother's wedding and had a blast! I will try my best to do better at updating this thing more regularly... Facebook is just SO much easier to put pictures onto!
