Listening to this most recent DJ-set by discque-joquette CRi, multi-styled & mega-mixed for Dimentia’s Tarantella format, brings SO much fun. When you are one of the doubting sort, thinking that the fun, you might probably get out of that, can be hardly SO much as i just proclaimed, then better have a seat, preferably back, relax and let yourself go, while lending an ear, eventually believing such is much SO. If you believed it right away, do accordingly.

Recorded at a night in march and even though the technical side/my preparation that night wasn’t optimal, and considering that the little PA was blaring on the limit so shrill that i could not really hear what i’d try to mix, i liked the recorded outcome and Examine Archive was so kind to host it on their channels. With a bit of extra crunch, caused by that clipping recorder/mixer combo and a hefty needle skate due dust, towards the end that i left in for the authenticity. Thanks a lot and much respect to all the Artists inside, as always.

Beauty, powerless and helpless, hates understanding, because the latter exacts from it what it cannot perform. But the life of spirit is not one that shuns death, and keeps clear of destruction; it endures death and in death maintains its being. It only wins to its truth when it finds itself utterly torn asunder. It is this mighty power, not by being a positive which turns away from the negative,
as when we say of anything it is nothing or it is false, and, being then done with it, pass off to something else: on the contrary, spirit is this power only by looking the negative in the face, and dwelling with it. This dwelling with it is the magical power that converts the negative into being — The wound can only be healed by the spear that smote it. And this problem can only be solved by blood and iron.
With the open eyes of their dead fathers Towards other worlds they gaze ahead — Children who, wide-eyed, become Periscopes of the buried dead.
I always wondered how many listener/owner of this record are aware of the inside joke this release inheres. The A side Starts with “The Romance”, a call for disobedience, followed by 6 more tracks that together give a well round package with off the radare breakcore as one can expect who is familiar with Trash Records . I guess most people were just shrugging about the seemingly pointless B side, maybe muttering about why they didn’t split the 7 tracks of side A on two sides for better sound and instead pressed the same tracks on side B, minus “The Romance”. And here lies the joke. On one center label is written: “Recorded in glorious deja vu stereo✲ Trash “now thats what i call value for money”. Through the shifted tracklist, the sound of the record it self, the handling of it and a totally different looking cut on both sides, it indeed, somehow greates a hard to describe feeling similar to a deja vu, thinking “hey i experienced this before” instead of “Oh erm, its just the same as the other side”.
At least that was how i experienced it and made sense of it and it obviously works just for the first few times of listening.
I decided to add the A side in its completeness (the whole release in deja vu mono?) to my Youtube channel, where i usually try to avoid uploading entire releases, as the attentive follower might have recognized over the years, except when it makes sense for whatever reason, like with this one here, when the odd character of the release and the uniform, but unformatted sound, makes it hard to pick one track, but leaving out side B, since i think the “deja vu effect” is unique to the vinyl.
On a side note i got a warning that this upload contains material that some hip-hop artist claims content id (but allows use, how generous). The claimed content is the speech intro in A1 that he also just “borrowed” from the same source, for his release from 2013, 13 years after Trash Records 03 came out. Funny how algorithms create copyright where none is existing.
Already out since 01.01.2k25, is this new cassette on the ever so magnifique, K7 magnétique label Raketenbasis Haberlandstraße,
“Your leading expert when it comes to the supply of upbeat, frownbeat, queerbeat, rearbeat, backbeat, snack treat, bass need, at any speed – from none to exeed, the bounce of supermarkets, washing mashines and even some “Kackegeruch”…“
14 tracks by Various Artists, two from myself, A2 – “Ratsch Ratsch Ratsch” as Annihilation Operator and as ZFE on B6 with “Pushst Du Mich, Push Ich Dich”. All together a C 60 of special interest music like breakcore of the 3rd kind, pummeling industrial, experimental & abstract wich is the same, differing techno, half hardcore, lo-fi-ish breaks, exhausting digital-jazz, the definition of hyperpop and some topical/off-topical commentary, guff from bosh to tosh.
The release is phyiscally limited to 20 cassettes housed in a stickered cardboard slipcase, with cover papyreaux wraps in 5 different colors, blue, green, red, orange and yellow. Each copy including a download code as always, stickers and 4 differing speech bubble stickers to choose from, helping the disgruntled police officer on the cover to vent his anger about the one or other reason, why he will miss out on some quality german Television moments. The digital version, in the format of your choice, is available on Raketenbasis Haberlandstraße’s Bandcamp page too.

3 Weeks ago, Vienna’s Panzerschokolade Soundsystem visited Leipzig with 2 PA’s, that got rigged in the basement of the “House Of Struwwelhaar” for PanzerSchokolade #27. A lot of different music got played, I did not catch much myself, you know me, “faire la conversation et discutez joyeusement”… Not sure why now, but I just remembered those two people, i heard at the party about and met in the end, they missed almost half of the night, being lost in Connewitz, walking around in the warm drizzle, while one of them slightly loosing his shit over the unnerving detection, that one of his socks getting slowly but surely moist and more moist through a, so far unnoticed going (ha!), broken sole, which made his foot look and feel like a drowned naked mole rat until further notice. What an unenviable situation must this have been already, but as if that wasn’t enough, got they also temporarily abducted by a haunted night bus and its enigmatic driver? Yes! Making this up? You can’t. What I find the most disturbing: when asked why they didn’t ask someone, they said, with a trembling lower lip, that 99,9% of the locals did not know or wouldn’t tell, where the busses and trams go. As if they collectively hide something unspeakable about Leipziger öffentliche Verkehrtsmittel…
Brrr, got Goosebumps on my scalp from thinking about it, let’s come back to the music, my God. Following, you get 2 of the 18 (?) sets that got played at the party.
The DJ-set by CRi, la tourbillon, couldn’t be recorded and due a bit of gefrett with the timetable, she had just enough time to play approximately half of her set and decided to record the whole mix as intended, when she got back home after the weekend and the record bag still offered the flow of the night and what she giddily spun here is without a doubt a very bonnily “Panzerplattenspiel’ of the turbotrope kind. As the set progresses the listener will feel more and more like a fluttering hummingsbird, probably with sparkling violet ears juddering even.

The set from Inushini was recorded that night, a seismic mixture of πῦρ (pyr), meaning “fire” and κλαστός (klastós), meaning “broken in pieces” at an unhinged velocity. You will get scrubbed like a real ‘Dickichtschlüpfer’ in the shrub.

In both cases, listening to the sets will get your three ossicles soundly dusted off when the malleus (hammer) get sledged on the incus (anvil) and you might finish with stapes stirred up and an ear ring…
