Awesome!

Grandma was trying really hard make sure that Brie and Gavin didn't get too jealous of all the attention that the new baby was getting . . . and boy did she succeed! Not only did Brie get to have her best friend (and cousin) Katie to do things with, and enough new princess outfits to last them a whole week, but Gavin got the most awesomest present in the whole world . . . a Firetruck. For the first ten minutes he sat there pushing all the buttons and Vrroomming it around and he just kept saying "Awesome! Cool! Wow!" over and over again. Then he picked up his other best buddy, his teddy bear, and carried the truck and Teddy around for another ten minutes showing them to everyone and saying "Awesome!!!" He is just so dang cute!

Babies Are Like Heaven

Jude Owen Krusinger is finally here ~ and we love it! Not only is he fun for everyone, but mommy doesn't have to be pregnant anymore, and . . . well . . . you just can't be that. Brie is loving the new baby and asks to hold him every five minutes . . . and 10 seconds later she is done and off playing again. Gavin is more shy and mostly likes to look at him, or try and give him his binky, or convince Jude that cars are the coolest thing in the world. Here are just a few photos of Jude's first week at home.

Family Camping Fun

Image
There were so many people at Yosemite over Memorial Day weekend that once you got into the park, you couldn't go anywhere . . . the parking lots were full, the shuttles were full, and all the places you could drive to to see were closed because there was no place left for people to leave their cars. We had a camping spot, but couldn't even go get firewood once we got there! Thankfully there was a hike that was within walking distance to our campsite. It was amazing, but Brie complained the WHOLE way because she was "too tired to go anymore!" And when we were at the campsite, all Gavin wanted to do was play in the street, and he couldn't be convinced otherwise. So one of us had to be right with him the whole time, which made it really difficult to get anything done like setting up camp or cooking dinner. And somehow, being 6 months pregnant with your third baby makes for really really uncomfortable sleeping on the ground . . . not to mention the bears that roam around Yosemite campgrounds at night which causes us to lay in our tent fighting the mental battle of "do I stay here all night with an aching bladder or brave the bears armed only with Lowell's amazing knife." Needles to say, we ended up only staying one night instead of two. We were really sad to leave because it was soooo beautiful and the weather was georgeous. But, as we left the park there was about 4 miles of cars backed up waiting to get into the park and everything inside was already full, so we were glad to be gone. We don't regret the trip though, it was so beautiful.Image

These are just a few of the pretty pictures we were able to get this trip to Yosemite. Despite the crowds it was sooo worth it.

Gavin's 1st Birthday

ImageImageImageImage
Gavin turned one last month . . . I know, I'm way behind. We just had a party at home, and Brie played with all of his presents. He was definately a fan of the cake though. He just gets cuter and cuter every day, eventhough he finally figured out how to get really angry and frustrated with us!

We spent three whole days in Disneyland this last week. It was raining and cold the first day, and we thought we were insane to actually go anyway, but we were glad we did at the end of the day. Then the next two days were sunny and beautiful and we had such a great time! Brie was super brave and got to ride almost ALL the big kid rides, and Gavin was thrilled with each ride he got to go on as well. Brie was also enchanted by all the Disney characters she got to meet, especially the Princesses. And for Lowell's first trip ever to Disneylan, it was a success. The kids had so much fun that they literally fell asleep still playing with all the things they got from Disneyland, happy to the last.
