Derek's Blessing Day

We had many friends and family members join us for his special day.  It was all perfect,  except for the actual blessing.  The microphone cut out right after Lance started.  He tried to speak very loudly, but we didn't hear very much.

May 2012

To be honest I don't remember much of May.  But lucky for us Lance took lots of pictures on his phone.

Kami is so sweet sleeping with her baby brother.  She literally CANNOT keep her hands off of him.  Her love language is most definitely touch and she shows it--TOO MUCH!

Cousin Jayda.  They are about 8 weeks apart.

So the part of May I do remember is very special to us.  Our dear friend and former babysitter, Stasia got married.  So we loaded up the van (Derek was only 2 weeks old), and drove 6 hours to Alburquerque, New Mexico for the occasion.  

Isn't she beautiful?  Somehow I ended up arranging the flowers for her bouquet the day of her pictures! The day of the sealing we were of course running a little late.  I was having a difficult time juggling nursing Derek and getting the girls' hair done, and getting myself temple ready!  They ended up holding off the sealing for us, as we RAN from the parking lot and the minute they saw us they called us by name and ran us into the sealing room, where everyone was patiently waiting.  Luckily, I think they still love us!

Derek LOVED this bassinet we borrowed from a friend, it props him up at just the right angle and hugs his body tight. ( and it totally folds up small enough to slide anywhere and take on trips. LOVED it)

Happy Birthday, Kamryn!!  4 years old

All she wanted was a bike with training wheels.  Too bad she still prefers her scooter, it's much faster.

Lance and I went and set up the slip and slide at the park before he went to work that morning.  We were anticipating the sprinklers to go off around the time of the party, but they ended up staying on for OVER AN HOUR, and almost ruined the party and the park!

We got to celebrate Paco and Grandma Anderson's 50th Wedding Anniversary.  Their kids threw them a very big bash, complete with skits, musical performances (Ceilito Lindo), storytelling, and lot of fun with the family!
