National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration spotted a ‘ghostlike’ octopod off the Hawaii coast.
Found more than 14,000 feet underwater.
Says the octopod “is almost certainly an undescribed species and may not belong to any described genus.”

The Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) simultaneously observed a transient gravitational-wave signal, produced by the merger of two black holes.
