Babysitting Adventures

I made it to St. George!!  Mandy and Jody came down for the marathon. We all went to get their numbers for the marathon! Wyatt is running it! Ate a good pasta dinner for the runners carb load up, and went to Connor’s football game. He played super well against Desert Hills but they lost.
Image
Marathon day! I ran the last 3 miles with Wyatt and he was doing 7 min miles at the end! He kicked my butt, and just kept saying “this is the hardest thing ive ever done!” he ended up getting 3rd place in his age group! And my mom (her 10th marathon) and Jody did great also! In the morning session of conference they announced the new age for missionaries - 19 for girls and 18 for boys! We drove up later that afternoon to SLC and stayed with the Robinsons!
Image
Sunday we got to go to the morning general conference session! We had tickets from the prophet and had vip golf cart ride. It was awesome and we felt pretty pampered. But it was good cause Wyatt and mom were still walking like Frankenstien! It was my first session in the conference center. And it was awesome! I stayed awake the whole time, but we got there sooo early, so I slept during the choir things! We all enjoyed Elder Holland's talk about the first great commandment, and I really enjoyed Sister Burton's talk about observing and then serving!
Image
On Tuesday the parents left for Europe! Dad was going to some conferences so they had to make a fun trip out of it! And I was lucky enough to be asked to come back and babysit! Without hesitating...of course I said yes!

I pretended to be my mom at the gym and had many workouts until noon! A lot of the days were revolved around football schedules and piano lessons. Dylan played a game today against Dixie. Played really well and they won! Thursday was a super rainy day! And Connor had a game including a lightening delay, but they won! Connor played great and is #14!
Image
Friday I babysat for Jolynn! She has two twins who are now 2! And they are hilarious!! They had this game of jumping off the couch and that kept them going for a full hour!! Wyatt had friends over all night, they made a movie! Connor went camping with some friends and Dylan went and hungout with friends.

In order to prepare for the BYU black out game...I made some banana bread! And later that night we went and saw "Here Comes the Boom!" It seriously was hilarious!! Highly recommend it!
ImageImage
Sunday they asked me to work in the nursery! Hahah they are crazy! Its been interesting trying to be a home maker and making all sorts of dinners with beef because we have tons of beef in all our freezers and mom said to use it! The boys aren’t complaining about how it tastes, so I think its okay.

Dylan and Wyatt got their morphsuits for Halloween!

The boys also had their last football games of the season! They played Pine View... Dylan played awesome, but they lost it in the last two minutes. When I took Wyatt to piano he told me that I'm getting better at driving stick and its not as jerky (they left us with my dads car to try to drive around!) so I guess practicing helps! Connor had his game at PV. He had an interception and played okay. He had some awesome punts, but PV just played really well. He got his pic in the paper though!
Image
It was fall break for them on Thursday and Friday! So we had fun coming up with things to do! We went to the temple one day! I love going there and I'm so proud that all my brothers can go too! We went and saw "Taken 2" and we all laughed during it, but no one else did...We went to Fiesta Fun-played some mini golf (I won-not like we're competitive or anything), and rode the go-carts, and hit balls at the driving range! Connor threw the club on accident and it went about 60 yards! I bought the boys ice-cream after because they hit the trash can that was in the middle of the range!

My accomplishments: I organized closets for both Cody and myself. Cleaned all of the laundry room! And did lots of laundry!

For my last night there we kept up our tradition of watching Silverado! It's always sad when I have to pack to leave, but I'm so grateful I could come and spend a few weeks with them! And off to the shuttle at 3:30am to head to Akron, Ohio, for an interview!!

Living in Fresno

Sterling has been trying to convince me that Fresno is “just so awesome” so I’m trying to make the best of it! Its been really fun hanging out with Bev! She is a great example and is constantly doing things for other people – like making cookies, cleaning, dropping things off, making dinners! But seriously her cookies are so good its dangerous! They are a triple chocolate chip!
Image
Our lives are really exciting: I spend a lot of my time with Bev and Lyndon works! We lay out and eat subway, and get pedicures together!
Image

We went to the Harvest Ball, which is a fundraiser for the children’s hospital that Tim works at! It started with a silent auction and then a dinner. It was beautiful and the food was awesome!

Everyone got a whole bag of peaches as a favor!
We celebrated Grandpa Winter’s birthday and made some Peach cobbler, what else do you do with four huge bags of peaches!! He kept telling everyone “Happy Father’s Day!”

Date night – we went mini golfing and hungout at Blackbeards J and it was super fun! We started speaking to each other in accents and I was the announcer while Lyndon was up against Tiger Woods!

Then came the drive to Las Vegas. Bev wanted to make her usual stop at the casino! It was so funny!

Life of the Homeless

We are still trying to figure out life right now and are basically homeless! So we are grateful for family to let us stay with them. We stayed at the Hollberg’s for a week, but then decided to head down to STG and try to figure out life there! My best friend Cachet had her baby boy Nash! He is super cute and has lots of dark hair!Lyndon took me on a motorcycle ride around Bountiful, up by the temple and such! It was a beautiful ride and we saw some amazing houses!
Image
And another flood hit in Santa Clara. We helped clean out one of the houses! So sad and it was so destructive! 60 homes were affected! But there were so many folks there helping and doing a lot for these people! There are still MANY great and loving people in this world!

It was Cody’s farewell weekend! Oh man. The Parry siblings all went to Lake Powell, so we were supposed to just get the house clean for the open house. Well we forgot to let the house cleaners in – so it became a nightmare trying to get everything ready! But we did it! There were lots of supportive family members, friends, neighbors, coaches there for Cody! I am so excited for him. His talk was awesome and had us all laughing and crying (and the ward now calls us the Farting family). I still love our tradition of all sleeping in the TV room together. Who needs beds seriously? I went through all my clothes – gave more than ½ away! Quite proud!
Image
Connor had his homecoming football game. Its been so fun to see the brothers play! Since I have been in Hawaii the last few years I’ve missed a lot. Dylan played Hurricane in double overtime and won! And we even got to see Wyatt play too!
Image
Painted the garage floor!  Go see our hard work! And then came the drive to Fresno….. Lyndon started working at an accounting firm, and I’m working on pa applications. I have a couple interviews coming up and hope something will work out! Here are some pictures from our 8 hour drive!

Back to Utah!

Well who wouldn’t want to travel across the country and then do 12 loads of laundry to get the smoke smell out of your clothes, and find out that a bottle of bleach spilled and ruined your shirts and some of your pants??!!! What a great thing to come home to! And then leave and get back in the car again to head to Provo for the BYU opening “whiteout” game! Yes, that would be us. We love driving and driving and driving! Lyndon sat with his cousins and I was with my family! It was fun to be there!! Lyndon came up in the 4th quarter and learned his uncle sits right behind us! Parker and Sterling were on espn! After we drove up to Park City!!

The next morning was some needed working out and then we went to lunch with Bev and shopping for some pants for Lyndon (Thanks to the bleach that spilt, too bad none of my clothes were ruined!) Went up to Olympic park and watched the ski jumpers practice.
Image
Image
Met up with my family to try to do the alpine slide, but it was rainy and they didn’t open it. So Dylan and Wyatt did the tramp jumping thing!

That night Connor played football against Park City High School! He did great and they won!! Lots of family came up for that and it was fun to watch Connor. The boys picked plenty of grass during the game to entertain themselves!

The weekend was fun! We went up to the Bradley party at Jim and Shawna’s! Hungout with family, went on a hike, and chased the cows! It’d be 3 years since I’ve seen cousin Dallin! Wow! Its never good enough to just see one side of the family right…well after that we met up with Lyndon’s family to see the movie “Premium Rush.” It was pretty intense! We all enjoyed it, and then came the drive back up to Park City.

Church in Park City was different. It was basically a huge ward of all visitors, but I love that the church is true where ever you are, so it doesn’t even matter! Then we went to Park Silly Sunday with the Hansen’s. It was fun to walk around and see all the little booths, we then had a Big bbq dinner and played games ‘til late into the night!

Labor Day!!  Tennis ball run down main street! We met up with Chance (Lyndons buddy) and went shopping, my secret confession is that now the only clothes I buy are workout clothes. The alpine slide line was over 2 hours long so we said no way!! We then got ready for some family pictures!! I love the Hansen’s they are awesome! But it was fun trying to get Truman to look at the camera and smile!

Fun things in the windows at Park City!

Lyndon had an interview at lunch, and I worked on pa app essays. We wanted to see the  new downtown area of SLC so we drove down and Lyndon tried on some Rolex watches and Porsche shoes (maybe one day!) Dinner was at Olive Garden – and we still continue to celebrate our anniversary. Lyndon is not one to miss an opportunity to celebrate anything!!
Image
They would probably help Lyndon drive extra fast!
Did alpine slide and coaster with Tim and Bev!
Image
Image
Got to see cousin Lexi and her cute little apartment! And I bought the “Touch of the Master’s Hand” picture! One day I’ll have a house to put it in! Friday morning Lyndon and I went on a run outside, don’t worry we just got put to shame by the altitude and hills! After we recuperated we went down to Provo and met up with Brad and Doug, and ran into Dallin & Aaron (so glad we got to see these cousins!) And we ended the night at Lyndon’s cousin Greg’s wedding reception complete with dancing and lots of good fudge!

I was able to complete a CPR class at the U. Don’t worry I wore a BYU shirt so I didn’t stand out at all! But we got to hangout with Whitney, Tyler and Truman all day! Lyndon to experience his first asphalt pie!! And I fed Truman the whip cream!

We went to church with Whit and Ty and it was their regional conference at the conference center. We learned to dress modestly, get more out of reading your scriptures, and work hard at loving your spouse!
