I'm finally BACK!!!!

I truly apologize---I have been oh so busy the past month I can not even tell you.  We have been out of the country as well.  But I'm BACK!!!  : )  Sit down get something to eat--relax and read on.  This is going to be a LONG post.  Covering most of the past month and a half.  

Well Monday started off white as snow!!!  Literally!  It snowed for about 5 hours straight and dumped about 10 or so inches of snow!!!  It was crazy--it sure is beautiful even though I really don't the cold at all---the boys loved it though. 

Here is Steven, he was a little timid at first not wanting to go in the snow!!  That's why he's dry!  : )  My kind of boy--haha

Well, like I mentioned we were out of the country--We went to Puerto Vallarta.  We were there 8 years ago for our Honeymoon, and took a trip back.  It was wonderful to be together without the boys.  Thank goodness I have amazing in-laws that came from Idaho to watch the boys for us, and they also gave us their Time Share for the week so we could relax!  Mexico could not have been better----

The 1st restaurant we ate at 8 years ago on our Honey Moon was "Los Arbolitos"  We decided to go back and eat there again.  We were not disappointed at all and the guacamole was just as fantastic as we remembered.

Kyle and Jack have changed so much all of the sudden they are completely mobile!!  Walking around the couch, crawling up the stairs, here, there, everywhere---It is great because they really do entertain themselves the whole day.  They are such good babies and cry only if hungry or tired!!!  I guess being twins and the youngest of 5 they have not choice except to be good!!  No really we are so blessed to have them in our family!!!  We all love them so much.  Cody, Steven and Luke are the BEST big brothers, and they can make Kyle and Jack laugh better than anyone!

Kyle is truly the HAPPIEST baby I have ever met.  He spend the entire day with a smile on his face.  He has the sweetest disposition.  It is a joy and a pleasure to call him my son!

Here's Jack--crawling up the stairs!  We have to gate off the other 10 stairs for fear of him falling down all of them.  He's a very mellow baby--also very sweet.  He can truly melt your heart with his baby blues!!!!  His yummy cheeks are the best to kiss on too!

On Monday Night we went to Tyler and Jamie's to see Santa.  We also did it last year and I hope we can continue the tradition each year-  it is so fun to get the cousins together--especially at Christmas time---What else is Christmas for except to spend wonderful time with your family!!  I'm so blessed to have them near by!!!

Luke SCARED TO DEATH!!!!!  You'd think Santa was a mass murderer or something by the way he screamed!!!  Hopefully next year we'll get a smile!

Steven on the other hand was so excited and knew that where Santa is there must be presents!

Cody was excited too.  It is a fun time to have him be 5.  He's one smart cookie.  And a great helper too.  He's such a good boy.  His new favorite thing is playing checkers.  He's really good!!!  He can beat Dan too!.  He's also such a joy!

We did it!!  It was quite a feat, but we did it!!!  We actually took family pictures.   Trying to get everyone to LOOK in the same direction, to be smiling or at least to have a decent face : ) (with 5 boys you never know what kind of face you'll get  haha)  I'm pretty impressed though, I think the pictures turned out pretty good!!  The last picture is the one we are going to use for our Christmas cards!!!  Let me know what you think!!  

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CODY & OLIVIA!!!!

Sunday we had family over to celebrate Cody and Olivia's birthday.  What a special thing it was for Cody and Olivia to share this day.  They were so excited to sing Happy Birthday to each other and watch the other open presents.  It is so fun to have cousins so close in age and see just how much they really do LOVE each other.  Happy Birthday Olivia (today) and Happy Birthday Cody.  We love you both so much!!!!

It happened---November 12th 2003 at 12:33 am.  Cody Dan was born!   And now this sweet boy is 5 years old!  My goodness how quickly time flies by.

6 Quirks!! ( What, nothing I do is a quirk--It's reason)

Well I've been TAGGED!!!  The funny thing is--I've been tagged twice by different people, same tag--6 quirks, and then tag 6 people!!  Hopefully you will all continue to be my friends after reading the following!

Kinda funny but at first thought it was hard for me to come up with 6 things that I think are strange about myself.  I ventured off and decided to ask Dan and see what he thought...

1.  (this is coming from Dan, but I have to admit is it a quirk of mine)  I go somewhere, anywhere and my response is always I'll be home in a 1/2 hour.  For years this would irritate Dan so bad, now he says he's so used to it and when I say a 1/2 hour he knows or has learned that it will most likely be a couple of hours---how I turn a 1/2 hour into 2 hours I'll never know, I guess "time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin' into the future"

2.  Something else that is a quirk but my children will be grateful for is the fact that I have captured monthly pictures of them  month 1-12.  Cody, Steven, Luke, Kyle and now Jack all have monthly pictures of themselves.  If they don't appreciate it their wives or children will enjoy seeing what they looked like at 7,8,9 months.  

3.  I LOVE Q-tips.  I Think I clean out my ears several times a day.  The weird thing is that, (ok this is going to sound gross but) I have to lick the tip of the Q-tip so that it isn't fuzzy, and so that it can go deeper into my ear!!  I know I probably shouldn't have shared this!!  haha

4.  After I brush my teeth, and I'm ready for bed I have to put lip balm on my lips.  BUT, it can not be just any lip balm, it can not even be chapstick.  It has to be lip balm from Kiehl's.  They have the BEST and I do mean BEST lip balm!!!!  I can not go to bed without it!

5.  I am addicted to balancing my checking account.  There are days where I check my account 3-4 times a day.  It has to be balanced to the penny.  Call me crazy but I get the biggest high from getting my check and balances in order!!!  I know weird---but these are quirks right?

6.  (this one is also coming from Dan)  I am addicted to blogging, e-mails, and facebook!  Too much of my day is being wasted away in front of the computer---but oh well, what do you do?  I love my MAC!  : )

SNOW!!!

It snowed!!!  My first reaction to the white stuff was "Oh, how dreadful"!!!  Although when I saw the excitement in the boys faces, how can you not also be a little cheerful.  They woke up screaming and running all over just so excited to play outside.  There are many things I don't like about the snow--the biggest one being how COLD it is outside, the second, how much time goes into getting 3 boys ready to play in it!  Hats, gloves, boots, pants, jackets, and then all the wet that come back into your home.  I know I sound like the "Grinch", but to be quite frank I hate the snow!  I love weather that is predictable.  Growing up in California you can go to the beach in February---oh how I miss that!  I know, I know cry you a river----Even though it's not my favorite season----here are some cute pictures of the boys have a BLAST!!!!
