Getting to Know You!
It has been a long time since I was around LiveJournal regularly, and I did this once a long time ago and thought it would be fun to do again. It obviously has nothing to do with icons, but still!

Rules/Procedures:
1. Post a general question in a comment to this entry. (Anything from 'What's your favorite color?' to 'What color are your shoes?)

Those who know me, know that I am a fan of Emma Watson (eyebrows and all!) and that I think she is absolutely beautiful. So, when I was browsing her site and came across these pre-short hair (& one post-short hair) photos, I knew I just had to make icons, which was no big feat since she is also ridiculously easy to icon. Thirty icons in total - 15 in colour and matching 15 in black & white.

A couple of weeks ago, my very good friend Meg (Imagezombie_boogie) agreed to do an icon battle with me because I've always wanted to do one, and I thought that since Meg has only recently gotten into the world of icon/graphics making, she would like the chance to experiment, learn new tricks, and develop her own style. We decided to icon the season three finale of True Blood and the season two premiere of The Vampire Diaries, since we're both fans of the shows. I don't know how many of you - if any - are familiar with the TV show, Party Down, but it's become a new love of mine (because it's ridiculously hilarious), so I decided to express my love for it the best way I know how - through graphics! If you haven't seen the show, but are a fan of comedy, I highly recommend it (the guy behind Veronica Mars, and Paul Rudd are Ex. Producers - some actors from VM are in it/appear in it, too).

The gist of the show is: five Hollywood wannabes and their boss work for a catering company called Party Down, which caters special events. Each episode takes place at one of these special events, and something happens at each event that causes chaos for the team, but is hilarious to watch :D

Hogwarts Elite Pimping Post!  
Okay, so, I mention Hogwarts Elite (Imagehogwarts_elite) at random times over here, mostly at the end of posts. I admit to that. However, I don't often just flat out endorse it and try and coax people into considering applying. Well, here is that post. What is Hogwarts Elite, you ask? Well, ( Continue reading about Hogwarts Elite!Collapse ) At least, that is how a traditional term goes.

Ali and I were getting bored (mostly me) with how Hogwarts Elite was feeling stagnant. So I pitched this hair-brained idea, and Ali and I tweaked it so it would work. Now it is in action for Term 15 called "The War for Hogwarts Elite". Essentially, Voldemort has attacked and half of the school has joined his forces. The Order of the Phoenix and the Death Eaters are now battling for control of the school. It is a modified House Cup race where there are 10 smaller teams (randomly assigned/mixed houses) working towards creating (if you are Death Eater) and destroying (if you are a member of the Order) Horcruxes. The goal is to have the most Horcruxes at the end of the Term.

If you were ever a member, or have ever considered applying, now is the time to rejoin or do so. Seriously, there is an energy running through the community that I haven't felt since before Deathly Hallows was released, and I haven't been this active over there since last year. SPECIAL REQUESTS  
So, in celebration of reaching 2750 watchers (I meant to post this a bit ago, as we are up to 2784 now!), I'm going to be taking some requests from you guys! Here's what I'm gonna do: The first 20 people to comment here with a subject (please keep it restricted to the things on our tags list, which will ensure that I can make something!) and a high res picture of something will get an icon/banner/header. You guys supplying the images will make this a lot easier for me! Whatever you guys want. I'm going to cut it off at 20, because it takes a bit of time to do each, especially when the subjects can be so varied! Thanks for liking our stuff. AND, comment with whatever if you want something! Thanks. :)

(P.S. I promise I plan on finishing those leftover requests from the last time. I just saw that I hadn't.)
