Tried composing a RPG battle theme. I also figured out how to record from Renoise into MIDI file: http://leafo.net/dump/lastrolloftoiletpaper.mid Sounds cool playing it with different SF2 files.
My weekly song, sounds from Roland SC-8850. Wanted to try out the built in EFX system. Sadly only one effect can be active at a time, I went with 3D Delay. Was harder to mix because the effect instruments were very overpowering compared to the regular ones.
Used Adlib Tracker II, so I guess you could say it’s a real chiptune. Attempted mastering in Calf with tape saturator > reverb > compressor > eq > limiter so I guess it’s no longer a real chiptune.
Adlib Tracker is really difficult to use, there’s no undo and I can’t record notes during playback. I think I’ll try to use it some more though because it’s got some cool sounds.
