Tai's favorite breakfast is oatmeal. (Funny thing--it is Jayda's favorite, too. I hated the stuff as a child!) The nice part is it is a nutritious breakfast and it doubles as a great activity that holds his attention long enough for me to make mine and Jayda's breakfasts as well--and I might be able to get a few dishes done while he continues to "eat". The first 5 minutes he spends trying to figure out how to eat it with the spoon, then the next couple of minutes he throws the spoon to the floor and proceeds to eat it by the fist-full. When he gets to the bottom of the bowl, he sticks his face in it, hoping to get every last oat with his tongue. But that is not all. He will then throw his bowl on the floor (he does this with everything he is "done" with--I have yet to break him of that habit) and spends the next 5-10 minutes "finger-painting" with the oatmeal on his tray that didn't make it into his mouth. Yet he never gets sad when it is time to peel away from the oatmeal frenzy because it is always followed by one of his other favorite activities...bath time!
