Non-Human Resource, or Add a User Without an Email: "None" Role Management
There may be situations where you want to create a non-human resource (eg machinery) or a user who can't log in. This can be achieved by giving the resource no role.
Creating a user with no role allows you to assign them tasks without giving access to the software. When inviting a user just select None as the role, this will make the email optional and they won't be able to log in:

You can remove an existing user's role via the Manage Resources page.
Even though these users can't log in and submit timesheets, you can assign them tasks and record hours on their behalf via the Actual Hours popup (which you can access from the gantt, sheet or task card views):

Note: You won't be charged for assigning a "none" role within the account!
