09:34 am - Facebook is down!
So Facebook went down at 9:26am on March 5th, 2024. I can only imagine the freakouts across the globe.
Maybe this is LiveJournal's master plan to become relevant again?

07:58 pm - OK, so... I finally got a Google G-mail account. Now do I dive into yet another social networking site-thingy with Google+?

09:35 am - A thought... I wonder if anyone has ever done a personality type test based on how a person orders fast food? This morning at McDonalds, I heard the following opening order remarks:
"Yeah, gimmie a..." (demanding order)
"I'd like a..." (desired request)
"I'll have a..." (demanding order)
"Could I get a..." (hopeful request)
"Could you get me a..." (request)
"Egg McMuffin and a small coffee" (no lead up, no request, just the foods desired)
It just struck me as strange, and I wondered if anyone else noticed that?

09:04 pm - Whoa... 2 for 2! Can you imagine this? I've not only checked out LiveJournal two days in a row, but I'm POSTING, too!
(I blame Brandy)
Childhood home is back up for sale. Went to Auction for a 2nd time and apparently didn't get the required bid.
Tempting, but not at the current price.
Stupid sentimental dreams...

08:59 am - Edible texture. Question for the masses: what makes Neslie's Crunch bars so yummy?
The reason I ask is that, without the little puffed rice inside, it's just a normal chocolate bar. Milk Chocolate to be precise.
I'm not a big fan of Milk Chocolate. I never, EVER go out and buy just a milk chocolate bar.
But I LOVE Neslie's Crunch bars and I don't know why. The rice inside doesn't do anything but change the texture.
If it were peanuts or caramel or cracker or something I could see because THAT adds something different to the flavor. Puffed rice doesn't.

05:41 am - Me bored. I can't believe this. This is gonna suck big time.
I knew it was gonna be a rough week ahead when vickieanne is feeling poorly. Chat and phone time is limited because that girl just needs to get home and get her butt into bed.
Then it got a little more bummer when regular chat-bud cbt522 decides to go on vacation with the family for a week.
But I figure hey, a perfect time to dive into work. Monday is the start of the Summer semester and things will really get rolling!
Except no. I arrived early at work (6am) to find there's NOTHING TO DO! Everything that needed to be done is done! The week ahead looks very, very slow and for at least today I'll be all alone all frigging day!
End it with absolutely sucky TV on the usual channels and this ends in BOREDOM!
Mebby I'll learn something. Yeah. I'll pick an instrument to play or something... Current Location: Home Current Mood: bored Current Music: "I'm Bored" by Iggy Pop

10:18 am - Question for the masses How do you copyright or protect a recipe?
This weekend I made an addition to something I made and it tasted SO GOOD.
I thought about it and it actually might be marketable. Probably not, but eh, nice to dream.
So how do I protect myself from my idea being stolen? Current Mood: creative

05:56 pm - Old-age television is so weird. As little as two years ago I'd be excited by the prospect of multiple things on television to watch. Big Brother, Movies, Doctor Who, Torchwood, even SpongeBob.
Tonight? What am I looking forward to the most?

06:15 am - It's just an honor to be nominated... While running through the morning news, I came across this tidbit. One of the nominees for "Best Book" at Nickelodeon cable network's 21st annual Kids Choice Awards?
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight, Volume One: The Long Way Home."
Of course, it doesn't really have a chance, because one of the other nominees is "The Harry Potter Series," but it's a nice thought.

10:19 am - Time off from work = good Had Thursday and Friday off from work for the holiday, have Sat and Sun off (naturally), and I was smart enough to take Monday and Tuesday off. 6 days in a row for the cost of 2 personal days. Not bad at all.
As predicted, I did NOT go shopping on Black Friday. I was smart, I stayed home and watched the Enterprise marathon on Sci-Fi.
Vickie was beyond cool in sending me most of The Sarah Jane Adventures. Definitely a show for kids, but still very enjoyable! That's what yesterday and today's plans are.
The Bears are playing and I might tune in for that also, but not all that excited about our losing football team. Fare-weather fan? You got it.
Monday's events include hitting the city and the Art Institute of Chicago with the sisters. They'll want to go shopping, too. But I'm praying it's not a long day because I always get wiped out when going to Chicago.
Then again, maybe a long day would do me good. The diet, more exercise... going good.
Tuesday is the re-scheduled Doctor's visit. A good old PSA and blood drawn for a blood workup and then I'm done. The rest of the day will be mine before work on Wednesday.
But today, right now? I've got an internet date with my sweety... ;)
(Boring entry, I know. Tough. My Journal, like it or lump it.) Current Mood: happy
