Great game franchise, terrible movie adaptation.
There's a downright obnoxious amount of winks to the fans, but at the same time they've introduced an ensemble of new characters and they rewrote Ratchet to be your industry standard starry-eyed wannabe hero.
They were so unconfident with the possibility of this getting any sort of continuation that they shoehorned the villain of the third game into the story and contradicted his origin in doing so.
As a family friendly sci-fi adventure completely…
