After watching the Musical Recording, I had to go watch the original.
These outfits are amazing, and Winona is a gem, I just wonder, is this her most depressed role or was it Lydia in Beetlejuice?
Again as in Beetlejuice, this material shines most in Musical form, in my opinion, but it was an enjoyable watch regardless

Admittedly I didn't want to watch it after learning there were no vampires, but the trailer convinced me otherwise.
An artistic piece, but not to the point the story suffers, had some open ends but quite a good watch with nice colors and good direction.

Very similar in vibe to "Insidious The Red Door", which I also didn't like... The characters are insanely flat and the whole "new angle" for Freddie is not handled well (I am talking about Quentin not believing a bunch of kindergarteners testimony on something they barely understand and wouldn't be able to make up because sure the guy who's running around killing you has the biggest credibility here; oh surprise no he was guilty what a shock)
Also Freddy looks melted not in a good way.
