It doesn't matter where in the multiverse you are — if you were in the Edge of Reverie and still have your smartphone from those days on you (it's literally been three months), your device will buzz today with an invitation:



And indeed, if you follow the directions and take the Unova line from the Reverie train station, you'll find yourself in Unova — namely, in Nimbasa City's Gear Station. There are helpful signs set up from the line, thankfully, that point the way to the "birthday bash."

The venue itself is the old Nimbasa City Gym, now decked out in streamers and other festive decor suitable for a birthday. The music varies, but it's pleasant in general. There's several tables with food and drink, as well as one specifically for Pokemon given that it's filled with a mountain of berries.

In the center, Joltik sits atop a ridiculous little throne. In front of him is a table with a sign that says: "Gifts for the Conductor." It appears to already be filling up.

Welcome to Conductor Joltik's Birthday Bash. Look around! Maybe there are people here that you recognize.

[ THINK OF THIS AS LIKE A REUNION OF SORTS. If you were in Rev at all, you are welcome, even if you didn't have CR with Emmet. Literally the only stipulation is you must have some kind of gift for the Conductor. If you have a Pokemon, feel free to have Pokemon battles. If you want a Pokemon, lmk on either plurk or discord and I'll make it happen. ]

OKAY. This is a sign up of sorts for post-Reverie Pokemon Adventures in Unova.

What does that mean? Basically, Emmet is going to invite anyone he has had even passing positive cr with to Unova so they can catch their own Pokemon. Literally the only requirement here is "Emmet knows your character's name." If you're not sure if we had enough interaction to count, just ask me! We'll make it work as long as they've talked at least one.With that said, he'll also allow for tagalongs. For example, he told Ryunosuke that Rebecca was welcome to come along. He's never even met her, but Ryu likes her, so! It's probably fine.

The only stipulation regarding catching Pokemon is that they must be in the Unova dex, save for the starters and legendaries. However! If you want your character to have a starter or non-legendary from another region for reasons, Emmet will be able to provide your character with them. If you did Ingo's Palace, Emmet will help you secure the Pokemon you had there. They will not be the exact same Pokemon since, you know, cognitive Palace and all. But he will either take you to a place where you can catch them or shake down Battle Subway passengers until he gets eggs to hatch.

So basically, everyone gets a starter Pokemon, be it their Ingo Palace-mon or whatever. If you do not give me something to go on, your character will get a Joltik. And if you want a Joltik ANYWAY, just let me know.

While this is technically a little thing I'm running in place of a Palace since I never ran a Palace, this is going to be very chill and informal. The post will go up probably over the weekend — March 18-ish to give myself some time to write — and people are welcome to pick at it over time. You don't have to be there for a certain session, you're not coming in "late" at all (though if it's after the 27th, I may be super slow during the weekdays for a couple weeks), and you are all more than welcome to also thread amongst yourselves. You can do multiple characters if that comes up. We're chill. It's fine.

It's just a cute post-game Pokemon adventure, okay.
