its anouther year.

Now, I would be sharing resolutions, but, I didn't really make any this year. i guess i'm just going to sort of go with it (meaning the flow) and improve myself along the way. I tend to forget resolutions anyway.

Anyways, This is the first post of the year. hopefully many more will follow.

If you haven't ever read The Search For WondLa by tony DiterLizzi (the link to his awesome blog is to the side) you must do so NOW! It is really really really a wonderful book, especially if you are into sci-fi and possibly steam-punk.

While your at it, read the sequel, A Hero for WondLa. It will not disappoint.

Well, I have had an eventful and freakishly long week. For some reason the school board decided that it would make more sense to get out on the 21st, versus the 18th or 19th. I've been bombarded by finals and semester tests. Really getting me into the Christmas spirit, you know?
So here I am, four days before Christmas. Today was meant to be the last day of school, but it was cancelled due to our first legit snow of the year!!! I an so happy. At least one part of this season is now Christmassy.

 I was on my Aunt Erin's Blog just a while ago, and I found  a quote that I really love by C.S. Lewis.

On Summer...

Summer is so darn great. Its not the sleeping in (which I don't even get to do most days because of volleyball), or the lazing around that makes it super.

I think its the fact that Your almost totally free from responsibility (keep in mind I'm a kid with no job). Everything is more laid back and easy going, and you grill out at least once a week.

In the summer I don't see my friends almost at all, which is my choice. I have ALWAYS asocciated summer with being with my family, and I think that is more important than hanging out.

Yeah, I guess you could call me a summertime hermit:)

This has been the warmest winter I had ever seen. It feels just like spring and I've been loving it sososo much. But winter only took two weeks off, I think. its okay. Sometimes I think that we love spring all the more after cruel old guy Winter.

I was twelve before and now I've moved on to bigger and better(?) things.

But, on the other hand, do you like my bear? I about fainted when I saw him, he's so cute!

This was a great birthday though, the best ever:)
Thursday we went out of town and bought me some new clothes and shoes, then we headed to Barnes & Nobles.
I picked out The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaimen, which I've already read.

I never want to take the chance of buying a book that I've never read before, so I tend to get an old favorite.

Divine Comedy

I love Divine Comedy. I could sit and watch them on YouTube for hours.
They make me laugh. I love it.


To any of you who are sad and have never laughed because of Divine Comedy, it is a comedy/acting group at BYU, Utah. They do skits on everything:) They do songs, they dance, they perform totally independently. Please, by all means look them up on a rainy day with plenty of time on your hands.

Arise and Shine Forth! Introduction to 2012 Mutual Theme

Yay! Its that time of year again; time to start anew, to celebrate a clean slate! New Years was as fun as always. We partied it up with Rusty and Tia and drank sparkling cider giddily. Yes, and it was non-alcoholic of course:)

This year is almost over.

Where did it all go to?

I've experienced a cold winter with plenty of snow days, wonderfully gray (grey?) spring days where it rained all day. I lived a whole gloriously long summer and slipped straight into school. Fall passed before I even knew it and hung on with its dead trees and bare ground until the day after Christmas. Then it snowed.

The days are long , but the years are short.

Cheers to 2011, I'm ready to do it all again.
