We're not only building something agents want, but also something we want ourselves. We run our website and dashboard on Specific itself. It keeps us honest. If our customers experience problems, we will too. We're always incentivized to build something better.

"Make something agents want" is the new product principle. We've been building for this from day one. We started using Claude Code as our main driver nearly a year ago. We believed early that most code would be written by agents, but the tools available were designed for humans. So when agents try to go from code to deployed application, they hit a wall. Specific eliminates that wall. One config file defines your entire stack. Standard Postgres, S3-compatible storage, Redis, and more. No proprietary SDKs, no lock-in. Spins up locally with full production parity and deploys in a single command. Natively trusted us to power tens of thousands of their production backends. Now we're letting individual developers try out a beta version of Specific. No more juggling Vercel, Supabase, and other providers. One platform for everything your app needs, built for agents from the ground up. Add our skill and ask your coding agent about Specific. npx skills add https://docs.specific.dev

  • We’re excited to partner with Natively to power tens of thousands of production-ready backends. Natively lets anyone build iOS and Android mobile apps in minutes. To make this a reality, we partnered with them as the backend provider designed to work seamlessly with the Natively AI agent, eliminating friction and scaling with their operations. The solutions that exist today have been primarily designed for humans, which means that AI agents hit a wall and require humans to intervene when integrating common features such as databases, object storage, authentication, email, and more. With Specific, these features work out of the box with zero configuration as it was designed for AI agents from the very start. Our solution provides agents with a sophisticated harness that lets them define and deploy the infrastructure they need, securely and reliably. Try it out today at natively.dev or reach out at hello@specific.dev

We’re excited to announce our partnership with Specific (YC F25) to bring a fully integrated backend experience to Natively. 🚀 You can now build native mobile apps with a built-in backend, including: • Database • Authentication (Google & Apple) • API routes • AI integrations • Secure infrastructure No external setup. No backend configuration. No extra accounts. From idea to App Store and Play Store in just a few clicks. This partnership allows Natively builders to focus on what matters most: building the best mobile apps. We can’t wait to see what you create! 👀

Breaking news: AI Engineering Stockholm is currently topping the list of Stockholm’s best tech meetups. Yesterday I joined another great event from Robert Westin — an AI Engineering session focused on agent orchestration. I ran a technical experiment where I live-coded a real-time “Best Stockholm Meetup” voting system, implemented using a team of three agents in Claude Code Agent Teams, deployed on AI native Specific (YC F25) infra. Do you agree with the results? Cast your vote here : https://lnkd.in/d-ub54Cv (voting closes on Friday):

We're leaving San Francisco. -- One of the things I loved about Y Combinator is their way of making the impossible feel normal. We sat in rooms where Sam Altman, Brian Chesky and Dylan Field shared stories from when they were just getting started. We worked closely with partners who have seen the mess of countless startups before they became successful. We met 17-year-old founders shipping faster than entire teams did a decade ago. Being surrounded by that raises your bar for what's possible. Stockholm is home, and right now it's one of the most exciting places in the world to build a company. Lovable and Legora have shown that it's possible to ship fast and think big from here. Places like Founders House and SSE Business Lab are fostering the next wave. The founders here remind me of the ones I met at YC. The energy is different than it was a few years ago, and we want to be part of pushing it even further. San Francisco taught us to think bigger. Stockholm is where we continue building.

We split up after high school. Me and Fabian Lindfors went to the same class in high school for 3 years. Do you ever remember that kid in class being the smartest person in the room? That was Fabian for me. After graduating, we studied in different cities and didn't meet each other again until 7 years later when a friend in common brought us together in Stockholm. We had both been working as engineers with similar jobs, at different companies. Fabian at Stripe, where he went from new grad to Senior Engineer in just 2 years. Me at Fever, Braive and Volvo On Demand where I worked with some of the best engineers in Stockholm. Turned out we had a lot more in common than we thought back in high school. This summer our friendship took an unexpected turn. What started with a beer on a rooftop ended with us quitting our jobs, moving to San Francisco, and building Specific (YC F25). Demo Day is just around the corner, and we're just getting started.

Specific (YC F25) builds and deploys production-ready backends from natural language, integrating seamlessly with any coding agent. Fabian Lindfors and Iman Radjavi spent years building and running mission-critical backends at companies like Stripe and Fever, including systems that processed tens of billions of dollars in payments. As AI enables software to be built at unprecedented scale and speed, they saw a gap: code will be generated faster than it can be made maintainable, secure, and scalable. So they designed Specific to build backends in minutes, then scale and maintain them indefinitely to support the same critical workloads they themselves have seen firsthand. Specific achieves this by offering a backend-as-a-service that’s entirely generated and maintained by an expert backend coding agent. It understands natural language prompts, and turns them into production-ready backend code. The agent will also deploy and scale these systems automatically, making for a seamlessly integrated development and infrastructure platform. Congrats on the launch, Fabian and Iman! 🚀 https://lnkd.in/gZ3VkweE
