Den Sake Brewery was established in 2017 in Oakland, California by co-owner and “toji” (master brewer), Yoshihiro (“Yoshi”) Sako. Sako worked as a sake and wine buyer as well as a sake sommelier in the San Francisco Bay Area for 13 years. Sako has also taught several classes and workshops about sake, educating people about his country’s beloved national beverage. Please explore our channel to learn more about Sako’s philosophy to make a sake that is exceptionally food friendly, as well as his personal mission to have sake on everyone’s dinner table- not just with sushi and Asian food.
