The purpose of the meeting is: • To check the employee is fit to return to work • To bring them up to date with work/reallocation of work during their absence • To assist line Managers to identify where they can help or take action to help prevent a further recurrence of sickness/absence or to consider reasonable adjustments There is no minimum period of sick absence before a discussion is required.
