My research explores barriers to youth(18-28) climate activism in Pendleton, Salford. I'd like to understand what might prevent you from engaging (all opinions welcome!). Generally, I'm trying to get a sense of what life is like in Pendleton from young people’s (YP) perspectives, what they value about the area, what they find challenging, and how they imagine its future. Alternatively, if you already engage in activism I'd love to speak with you too! I'm from Salford myself, so this research means a lot to me. I'd like to put Salford in the spotlight and ensure YP have a stage and voice to shape the future of their city. What would it look like if it centred ordinary voices? How do we put Salford on the map? How do we shift away from middle class activism to centre youth perspectives in working class areas?
