A Kopi of My Book — Beta Reading Session | 29 Jan
A Kopi of My Book — Beta Reading Session | 29 Jan
A Kopi of My Book is a poetry manuscript about how grief lingers in ordinary life, long after the moment of loss. It's my first time of writing a poetry book. We’ll read selected sections together, mostly in silence, and then talk about how the work flows and lands as a book. The focus is on the reading experience: what stays with you and how the manuscript feels as a whole. 📅 Date: Thursday 29 Jan 2026 🕰️ Time: 7pm-8.30pm 📍 Location: The Stranger Space 195 Pearl's Hill Terrace, #2-38D Contribution: Pay as you wish. Suggested: $10-20 (all proceeds go to keeping Stranger Conversations running. But if you choose to pay more, you’re paying for someone else to attend at a more affordable price :) ) Your hosts: Izuddin — or simply Iz (@emovere_revelio) — a to-be writer and poet who has been writing poems for many years, often late at night and in quiet moments. This session is a small experiment in sharing work-in-progress.

Suggested: $10-20 (all proceeds go to keeping Stranger Conversations running) Your hosts: - Siu Tin (@craftyastee), a lifelong maker who found her way to embroidery later in life. She creates whimsical and intricate embroidered scenes, often spending weeks or months on a single piece. - Cheryl, her daughter and collaborator. Here to pass the kueh and hang things on walls. Together, we're hosting this as a small experiment in sharing what we make.
