Solidarity! for a Member-Led Union is a slate of 25 rank-and-file AFSCME Local 2187 members across various departments running in the October 2025 elections for Local 2187’s delegates to the AFSCME DC47 Delegate Assembly, which is the governing body of the union. As delegates, we will organize to make our union more transparent, democratic, and fight in solidarity with all municipal workers, including in DC33, and deepen alliances with communities we serve as civil servants. We believe the union is its members, and strong contracts can only be won and enforced if all members are informed, organized, and mobilized. We also believe that strong, strike ready municipal unions play a critical role in the broader working class struggle.
