Point and click my ass.

A few applications, primarily Sylpheed and Gaim - started using a new file selection screen. One that doesn't let you type in the path / and you have to navigate through a rather annoying screen. I'm figuring it's a GTK thing. My question is, does anyone know if there's a way to make GTK give me a more useful way to cruise around?
