vocalized Hebrew text in Linux
1. Are there any web browsers which can correctly display accents in vocalized Hebrew text (UTF-8 encoded)?
(This is an example)
2. How can I print a vocalized Hebrew text on a (postscript) printer?
3. Are there any conversion scripts (perl/bash) to remove the accents from the text?
(Second update: this seem to be a Mozilla bug (Bugzilla Bug 60546)
(Update: Some details:
1: I have tried Firefox 1.0 and Mozilla 1.7 on Fedora Core 3, and Safari on Mac OS X.
All the browsers are displaying both the consonants and the accents correctly,
but the accents are displayed **in between** the letters, instead of being
strictly above them or below. It might be what is called "Unicode Support Level 1"
(reference)
2: When I print accented Hebrew text from Firefox/Mozilla/Safari, the same thing happens.
Thank you!)
