Just a quick note. Previous responses were correct, I DID have the source version of this. I don't know why. yesterday was a hellish day at work and I'll just assume my brain was in my ass. It's up and running fairly well now (sorry darkstalker, no khotkeys just yet . . . maybe if I start using kde).
So far so good. I'm still a bit iffy on making windowmaker work. And getting it to start at startup was a pain (maybe someone with more WIndowmaker experience than I can help out here if they are charitable). Basically, putting it is the init.d directory was a bad idea (nothing happened) and putting it in the autostart file for WindowMaker stalled windowmaker out. No idea why. I had to kill it and start over. I ended up adding a dockapp for it and setting it to start at startup, which worked, but it feels silly to have a whole icon that I never touch. I'd like to put it someplace where it will start cleanly with my login. Ahh well.
Point is it's working decently well and I can't complain about that. thanks for pointing out my bonehead mistake. I never would have gone back for the correct rpm's otherwise.
