Ok I'm using Mandrake Linux 10 and I've sorted out most problems. The one problem I'm still having and can't seem to figure out is that my system seems to go into some sort of hibernation mode. My screen goes off my mouse becomes useless and my keyboard goes dead. I try to wiggle my mouse and click the keys but it's all useless. I also try to unplug my mouse and keyboard then play with the keys but that doesn't work either. When I press my computer power switch it all comes back to life from this hibernation mode but everything goes bonky. When I move my mouse it flies randomly across the screen opening and closing screens and tabs everywhere uncontrollably and my internet connection goes dead. Also I think it might be linked to one other problem I have, when I'm using XMMS after about 21minutes it stops playing, and then a little while after that I get knocked into this hibernation mode.

I've turned off all power control options in the control menu and don't have a screen saver running. I also have winXP on another partition and nothing closes down on there.

I really want to get out of windows forever; I would like to make a complete transition into Linux. I'm going to keep trucking and will not give up on this.
