SATA RAID controllers?

Has anyone had any luck getting this particular SATA RAID card to work with Linux? If so, how? If not, are there any that work?

Also, if a mobo such as the Gigabyte 8IP775-G Socket 775 ATX Mobo has SATA headers, which it does, will Linux support the drives?

I plan on installing the latest version of SuSE Pro when I get done building my rig.
