HI, I'm a newb at linux when it actually comes to major system navigation and I need some help. I'm trying to install the linux driver for my geforce 4 mx400. Now it says I have to boot into vga and not X after a reboot and I have no idea on how to do this. I'm running MEPIS by the way. The reason I'm installing the drivers from the site is because whenever I enable the nvidia kernel drivers that came with 3.3 and I reboot, it gives my monitor a null connection and it goes into stand by. Any help or guide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
