webserver setup

I am running Feather Linux 0.7.4 off of a CD and I am trying to set up Monkey HTTP webserver on my computer so that I can run a webserver off of a minimalistic older box. I do not wish to install to a HDD because it does not have a HDD and I do not have the money for one. I plan on serving my files either off of a compact flash card.
In the context menu for feather it has Monkey webserver so I click start monkey webserver</a> and than I wait and nothing happens.I tried going to my IP address in Dillo and I also tried going to 127.0.0.1. however all I get is this error:
The browser was unable to connect to the specified site, even though it exists. This may be because the site does not accept connections from your computer, the service may be down, or the site does not support the service or port that you tried to connect to.
. So I browsed to the path /home/knoppix/monkey and I began persuing the directories. I have a bin, a cgi-bin, conf, logs, and htdocs . I go to the htdocs and I have a nice index.html file that tells me monkey is running and working well however I cannot browse to it. In addition I have some docs on how to set up php on it which I do not wish to do. I did go to the conf directory and found my config files File: modules.conf , monkey.conf, monkey.deny, and monkey.mime
I opened them up and I truly have no idea how to set them up. I did GTFM and I got nothing. I did also check the forums on feather linux and I was unable to find applicable information. I was wondering if you could please help me configure monkey. I would like to configure it and have it working through the ip settings before I mess with the domain and all of that. Any and all help would be outstanding.

Regards.
