CUPS problems.
It's times like these that I really, really get frustrated with this great OS of ours.
I'm running SuSE 9.2, KDE 3.4, fresh reinstall due to unrelated issues (my own ineptitude).
Both before and after a total reinstall, I cannot get CUPS to play nicely.
Here's the story.
1. Epson Stylus CX5400 all-in-one that has worked VERY well so far.
2. Printing locally is no problem.
3. Up until recently, printing from the network was no problem.
3a. Printing from wireless network over a router. Laptops are both Macs running Tiger, but that shouldn't matter. nothing's changed on them.
3b. Wireless just switched to WPA. Should that matter?
4. CUPS configuration via KDE's print manager goes okay, but when I save, it tells me that no server was running. If I go to restart the server from the menu, it says the same thing. I've tried starting the cupsd myself (
5. Wireless print attempts try and fail, saying there's no response on port 631.
I've been through /etc/cups/cupsd.conf over and over and I can't see why it wouldn't work.
Has anyone else had similar problems or know where I could look for help? I've googled and googled and R every FM I can find.
