ASUS P5GD1-VM mobo overheating problem
Last night the (Fedora Core 3) server complained that it was too hot - both processors logged errors messages:
I've had a look at lm_sensors but `
I've been stumbling around in the dark all morning trying to work out how to monitor the CPU temp, but I've come up blank. Any suggstions?
The motherboard is an ASUS P5GD1-VM; kernel is 2.6.11-1.27_FC3smp. (Let me know if you need more info.)
I know it's warm where the server lives, in the study, but I don't know if the processors are "dangerously hot" or just a bit warm. I added a couple of extra fans only a few weeks ago and it's certainly chucking out a lot of hot air, but how can I tell how critical this problem is?
/Tries thinking about snow :)
Jun 4 17:54:05 animal kernel: CPU1: Temperature above threshold(That was all that was logged and there's been nothing since then.)

I've had a look at lm_sensors but `
sensors` doesn't report anything useful (just some memory stats - no temps).I've been stumbling around in the dark all morning trying to work out how to monitor the CPU temp, but I've come up blank. Any suggstions?
