Thinking about setting up a nfs server/client setup between my laptop and home server..
The only problem is that my laptop is not always hooked up to a network connection.. and even when it is.. it tends to get disconnected (someone unplugs me for a minute, or someone else at school needs a connection, etc)...
For the last while i've been using samba to connect to my server (as it already had samba setup so my windows machine at home can interface with it.. or at least used to be able to)..
Just wondering if its worth the extra time to setup a nfs server.. and if its more secure and any speed improvments (noticed sometimes a huge delay trying to save files to my server using samba)..
Sorry if this makes no sense.. just trying to understand more about my choices...
