linux wifi

I have a pcmcia 2wire 802.11g Cardbus Wireless LAN Card and I want to get it work on my Linux pc and I was wondering is there a list of wifi drivers for linux and if I could get a driver for my computer.
Are wifi cards like winmodems or what? Is there a generic wifi driver or no?

I did google it and I could not find the drivers. I was wondering if you could please enlighten me?
