DSL friendly distro info...

Edited to add that apparenly noone sells the dinosaur Fedora 1, does anyone have an extra set of discs I could borrow or might burn for me?

I'm rather frustrated at this point and though SuSe 9.2 seems like a wonderful distro, it does nothing if it's (at this point) costing me $25 in DSL fees for an internet connection that I can't get to work.

So the reason for this message... I am not an elitist, I'm just someone who wants my blasted internet connection to work. Is there any other distro in the likes of Fedora Core 1, but not as outdated? By referenceing that I mean DSL that I could actually get set up myself and without the help of 20 other people. (though good help that may be).

I've not hit distrowatch in a loooong time so I'm not sure on what's the new stuff and whatnot. And it's not like I can research it for a long time either due to the middle schoolers hogging the library computers while playing flash games. Gah. deep breathing.

Any thoughts? I'm checking out url's for cheap linux Cd's right now, to install Fedora 1 again. Seems like slow and reliable is the way to go in the face of flashier stuff in which I can't get dsl to run whatsoever.

Thanks,
Trinity
