Cardbus woes

Hi all...
For some reason or other, cardbus (32-bit) cards aren't working at all on my 2.6 kernel (16-bit pcmcia works fine, and the pcmcia-cs drivers and kernel worked fine in 2.4). When I plug 'em in, cardctl doesn't display any information about them at all, and xcardinfo is equally silent. dmesg either shows nothing, or gives me a high memory error. lspci -vv, however, shows that the card is plugged in, and detects it properly. X_X. Please help...

I do *sort of* have a lead on what's causing the problem. When PCMCIA services start up, and it does the initial iomem and ioports probing, it displays
"cs: memory probe 0x20400000-0x20bfffff: excluding 0x20400000-0x20bfffff"

0x20400000-0x20bfffff are the right memory ranges for my cardbus, but for some reason the probe tries to exclude them (probably why there's no high memory available)! If anyone knows how I can fix this problem/keep pcmcia-cs from excluding the memory range, please tell me =).

PCI: Using ACPI for IRQ routing
** PCI interrupts are no longer routed automatically. If this
** causes a device to stop working, it is probably because the
** driver failed to call pci_enable_device(). As a temporary
** workaround, the "pci=routeirq" argument restores the old
** behavior. If this argument makes the device work again,
** please email the output of "lspci" to bjorn.helgaas@hp.com
** so I can fix the driver.
