MDK RPM repositories
Hellooo,
I was wondering what is the validity of pointing a distro of MDK10.1 to an RPM repository of Mandriva2005-SE (URPMI and the MDK frontend)?
Since I'm on dial up I can't actually download the whole distro as yet (and a coverdisk copy has proven to be corrupt). But I was wondering how broken I could get my distro by installing RPMs designed for the later distro. Would it work? Not work?
---
Slightly related funny:
I did a silly thing and pointed MDK's URPMI frontend to the Mandriva2005-SE RPMs and asked it to "auto update". Well it chugged along and broke itself. I'm guessing it didn't like updating itself while running?
