Query and update
Anyone familiar with how deep the support comes from the SuSe people if you purchase their product? I'm considering dropping the 100 for 9.3 but not before I find out if there is someone willing to help me troubleshoot dsl. And for that money.. there should be.
And for anyone who remembers my dsl posts... still no luck. Verizon says DSL is fine on thier end. Got to a Tier Three person, who actually questioned my faith in humanity when he had ME explaining to HIM the fundamentals of how to get a computer connected to the internet. I've tried Fedora 3, Fedora 1, Suse 9.2, Xandros and Mandriva, all of which I found out the instructions for "turning on" dsl, printed them off at the local library and ran them. It's sad that after 9.3 it seems my next step is to break out the external modem and contact my old dialup ISP.
I SO wish there was a LUG group on the So. Ore. coast.
