90 bucks later....
I'm still without internet. How exactly is a router supposed to help? Do I have it right?
DSL Line>Modem>Router>My Tower
I thought maybe it was DSL>Router>Tower but the dsl phone plug is too small for the internet line in the router.
I bought a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router at Staples which had the internet port and like, 4 other physical ports. Tried it first on Fedora 1... which had no effect except for instead of the internet hanging like usual i get "www.google.com cannot be found". Then just for kicks I threw on the oh-so-pretty but buggy (or so someone from the novell team told me) SuSe 9.2 to try it on that. Doesn't connect with the internet either there.
Considering all I've tried and gone though does anyone have any logical suggestions? My current one is that Verizon is run by Bill Gates himself who has smited my linux box.
Thanks for anything,
