Mission accomplished with some work...
Ok.. I could not for the life of me figure out the nvidia problem. I tried everyones input and figured I must have screwed something up somewhere or the distro wasnt going to let it happen. So I went back to Ubuntu. I had some qualms over time with this distro because I liked my root login vs. having to sudo. So the first thing I do is disable that little bastard of a variable from false to true. I'm now running at a healthy 1024 fps, and full support. So I pretty much got what I wanted.. a 64 bit Ubuntu distro that I can play my battlefield games on.
