stupid error.. samba, konqueror.. nfs.. all players.

I don't know if I can relate this to you all properly.. nor do I know if I'm looking for support, or to vent.. or just to warn you of this stupidity.

I have a directory on a linux server of mine. it is shared out via samba AND NFS.

There is a bunch of files there that are date sensitive (builds of a software package)

when viewed from windows client to linux server using samba - the dates show correctly.
when viewed from linux client to linux server using NFS mount - the dates show correctly.
(and why my users insist on doing this, I don't know.. but..)
when viewed from linux client to linux server using samba - the dates show all wacky.

after comparing side by side, it seems that when viewed samba to samba, it shows the date as the ACCESSED date, but skewed by 4 hours (Exactly). We are in Eastern Daylight Time, so, yes that IS 4 hours off of UTC - but, it's showing it the OTHER way - like it's trying to compensate for UTC, but that is already done so it's just subtracting 4 hours from local time.

So, yea.. "WTF??" is all I have to say to this one.. and then scold my users for using samba to samba.
