USB Printer being annoying

LONG VERSION:

I have a Samsung USB laser printer that's been Just Working (tm) for ages. Two days ago I printed a PDF and it stopped at about 16/21 pages. CUPS said the job was finished but I didn't care about the last few pages so I let it go. After that I printed out a couple of other pages again via CUPS with OOo this time.

I'm unsure of the sequence of events but around this time I installed lm_sensors into my rc sequences. AgainI'm not sure if this was before or after the PDF weirdness.

Im unsure if all this is unrelated or not, I'm including it as I'm lost for ideas now.

For a while when I sent a job to the printer via CUPS the printer would warm up then do nothing. Now I don't even get a warm up from it.

Doing an...
> echo hello? > /dev/usb/lp0
...used to also get a warm up but no print from he printer but now nothing. So I'm assuming CUPS is not at fault.

I remembered I had windows on dual boot and the printer works fine from there. So I'm assuming it's software related.

SHORT VERSION:

Can anyone point me in a debuging direction to work out why I'm getting no joy?

Thanks.
