Installing Gentoo
Ok so I got a slow old laptop for free and I'm gonna make it a Linux comp.
I downloaded Ubuntu and debian and Gentoo. Gentoo was the only one where the burned disk booted so I'm going with that.
I've got a pretty good idea how to install it but it's taking forever. So the question is this, is their any big things I should be aware of while installing off the disk. I mean are their things I should not install and install later? Any other hints would be great.
The comp is a ibm thinkpad iseries 1400.
