ETA:
Set Putty's terminal type from 'xterm' to 'linux'
Worked a charm.

oh my, I need help.

I'm putty-ed in to my newly setup box via SSH (Fedora Core4, yeah yeah. =P).
Using nano as text editor, the terminal gets all fscked up when scrolling. I can't figure out what it is.
The screen just doesn't redraw.
It also happens when typing sometimes.
If i resize the window, the screen redraws and everything is fine, but I can't resize the window constantly while noodling with config files, it's just not gonna happen.

My current server (being replaced by new box) doesn't have this problem, putty session is setup exactly the same, as is the sshd on both boxes. I've gone over the config files for sshd line by line. there is no nanorc on either box, so that's not a problem.

Yes, I'm a nano/pico user, have been for the 6+ years I've been playing with Linux.
no text editor flamewars please.

help me get this fixed!
