Red Hat 9 to Fedora Core 4 Upgrade really slow

Has anyone else experienced really slow installs upgrading from Red Hat 9 to Fedora Core 4?  This install has been going on 4 hours now, and it's only half way done.  I'm doing a network install, but that's not where it's lagging, it downloads the rpm's fast from my local server, it's just taking forever to install them.
