mail redirect
Hi Folks. I am trying to use a combination of formail and sendmail in order to move(redirect, not forward)
all my mail (till now I have been using pine) to my new gmail account. The command I use is the following:
formail -s sendmail you@gmail.com < mail/inbox
This works fine, and the headers stay the same (i.e. the From and To), however gmail ends up showing the FINAL receipt time. So, say I have all this mail since June 2000, and now in my gmail account it shows everything to have arrived today! Is there a way to convince sendmail to add a "permanent" time stamp which forces gmail to show the original time?
An ideas on this?
