So I currently have an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro in my desktop.
This sucks for Linux. It's driver hell, and even once you get it running the 2d performance is absolute dreck.
I do play games, I'm looking at building a new system, and I want a video card that won't run slower than molasses in 2d.

question: are the nVidia's any better?
