Openoffice.org margin problesm

I'm having problems with Openoffice margins. So I made a template using the default M$ word margins and set it as default but when I open my OO.o docs saved in DOC format inside windows word the bottom parts are shoved to the second page.
I can't get wine to run ms office 2000 and OO.o is having this problem.
