More ignorant questions
So... I've used Avidemux to make a huge .avi. I then used the "auto" capability for making a DVD (to play on a standalone DVD player). For reference, it chose "DVD (lavc)" for video, "Toolame" for audio, and "MPEG PS A+V" for format. I've got the file it created, but I don't know exactly what the file is or where to go from here. I've tried just putting the file onto a DVD+R, but no beans. How can I use Avidemux (or anything else) to put a .avi onto a DVD for play in a standalone player?
Challenge: I'm using the Windows version of Avidemux. Many thanks in advance.
EDIT: More research yielded a howto that involved Avidemux and DVDstyler (which also has a Windoze version!). Made an ISO with DVDstyler and burned it using Nero (who told me that I needed to purchase a plugin in order to burn video DVD's. Hah!) I am currently testing the video in my DVD player to make sure it can play all the way with no problems. Yay open-source!
