samba and FC3 (again)

Briefly: I think we have verrified that I do not have smbd installed on my FC3 machine. Which is fine since I can still use samba without it. but here's the problem:

I'm running smb4k as a graphical samba front end and it regularly locks/bugs/spans the host. This may be the connection or just smb4k. Since I don't have smbd, what service is running that connectrion that I can restart? I'd rather not reboot every time.
